Microsoft's Internet Explorer can no longer be used to access the web server of MPiec controllers. The browser is redirected to Microsoft Edge. This procedure must be used for controllers with firmware under 3.2.0 in order to make changes through the webserver page.

Note: Google Chrome can be used for firmware versions above 3.2.0.

The procedure below is for changing the compatibility mode from IE5 to IE9.

Compatibility Mode: 5 (Default)

Compatibility Mode: 9 (Final)

 

Follow the steps below:

1. Click Microsoft Settings from the top right of the browser under three dots.
   
2. Click Default browser.
   
3. Set "Allow sites to be loaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode)" to Allow.
   
4. Click Appearance under Settings. Turn on the Internet Explorer mode (IE mode) button.
   
5. Turn on Open the page in Compatibility View.
6. Turn on Open the page in Internet Explorer mode next time.
   
7. Open Windows Explorer.
8. Copy and paste this command: C:\Windows\System32\F12\IEChooser.exe.
   
9. Click the MPiec controller by Yaskawa in the F12 window.
   
10. Go to the Emulation tab.
11. Set Document mode to "9".
    
12. Leave the F12 window open while making any changes to the IP address, archive, etc.
