The GA500 drive has the capability of interfacing with various network communication protocols. However, an option carrier kit is required. Refer to the table below to see all network communication protocols compatible with the GA500 drive. Note:

When using a network communication option card with the GA500 drive, the part # JOHB-GA50 (option carrier) is required for mounting purposes. Refer to the following documents as needed:
<1> This part is not included in the JOHB-GA50 kit. When using a network option card and transitioning from a V1000 drive to a GA500 drive, the protective cover from the V1000 drive will need to be separated from the option card. Also, part # JOHB-GA50 (option carrier) must be used as well.
