Adding an EtherNet/IP node in Logix with a Short Video
Topic Description
When setting up a Yaskawadrive with the EtherNet IP option card on RSLogix 5000/Logix Designer the following steps should be followed. If the below settings are not configured correctly in Logix, errors may occur and communications with the drive will not be established.
The settings in the instructions below should be verified in the following scenarios:
Code 16#0203 is present in Logix.
Code 16#0114 Electronic Keying mismatch is present in Logix.
The PLC/PAC is not connecting to the drive.
Resolution
Follow the steps below to setup the generic module:
Enter the Device Name under Name.
Enter DATA INT (integer) under Comm Format. Note: Default in Logix is DINT (double integer).
Enter the IP address under Address / Host
Enter the desired InputAssembly and the Size.
Enter the desired OutputAssembly and the Size.
Configuration will always be 1 for Assembly Instance and 0 for Size. Note: The size is a 16-bit word. This can be determined by taking the number of bytes of the assembly and dividing by 2.
