Downloading and Uploading Servo Parameters for Sigma-II Series
Topic Description

It may be necessary to download or upload servo parameters for any of the following reasons:

  • When the SGDH servo parameters file needs to be saved for later use.
  • Transferring parameters from one SGDH SERVOPACK to another SGDH SERVOPACK.
  • Accessing parameters and alarms on the SGDH SERVOPACK.

 
Resolution

Use the attached YS-12 cable drawing (UWR00253 rev 5) for reference and download the SigmaWin+ version 5 software from the link: SigmaWin+ version 5.75

Follow the steps below for transferring the parameters from one Sigma-II SERVOPACK to another Sigma-II using SigmaWin+ software:

  1. Using Yaskawa cable YS-12 (refer to attachment for diagram) at CN3, go online with the SigmaWin+ software on the SERVOPACK from which the parameters will be transferred. Use the COM port which is identified by Device Manager. Click Search.
  2. Select Parameters > Edit Parameters.
  3. Save the parameters file on the top left.
  4. Connect the new SERVOPACK on which the parameters will be transferred and go online with SigmaWin+ software.
  5. Select Parameters > Edit Parameters.
  6. Select Import on the bottom right. Browse to find the file saved from the first SERVOPACK.
  7. Select Write so that the parameters are saved permanently into the SERVOPACK.
  8. Power cycle the SERVOPACK for the parameter changes to take effect.
