DriveWizard Cables: Difference Between PC Communication Cables, Flash Cables and Mobile Device Interface Cables

DriveWizard cables are used to connect a PC (computer) to a VFD (Drive).

There are a few different types of DriveWizard communication cables available for use with GA800, GA500, HV600, FP605, 1000 Series, 7 Series, and 5 Series drives.

<1> A bricked drive refers to drive that no longer functions due to an error which occurred in the flash process.
<2> The Y-Stick can be used as a stand alone cable for communications between the drive and PC.
<3> The UWR-0638 cable is only compatible on 1000 Series drives which have a built-in USB Type B port (such as A1000, P1000, etc).
<4> Must use a USB On-The-Go cable with the mobile device to be able to connect to the drive without power.
