Setting Preferences
The Preferences tab allows you to set the email language, full name format, and date and time formats to be displayed for the user. It also allows you to establish a default Microsite and select the content you want to see in the
General Preferences
- Email Language—Select the language in which to receive emails for notifications and subscriptions.
- Full Name Format—Select the format in which you want to see user names in the Knova applications. The full name format can be one of the following:
- First Last—First name comes ahead of the last name, e.g. John Smith
- Last First—Last name comes ahead of the first name, e.g. Smith John
- Date Format—Select the format in which you want to see dates in the Knova applications.
- Time Format—Select the format in which you want to see times in the Knova applications.
- Content Manager Items per Page—Select the number of items to be displayed per page on the Content Manager pages. When more than this number is in a list, pagination controls will be included to navigate the list.
Note: This drop–down list is enabled only if there is more than one language configured for your KM implementation.
Microsite Preferences
- To change your default Microsite, select a Microsite from the list.
- Depending on the configuration, additional preference may be available. Selecting a value in this list, limits the contents of the What's New and What's Popular lists.
- To set a content preference, click Select next to a question and choose the values you are interested in. Your selections apply only to the Microsite for which it is configured.
Search Preferences
- Results Per Page—Select the number of search results you want to display on a single page.
- What's New—Select the time period used to determine if content is new. Documents that were created within the specified time frame are included in appropriate
- Show threads in Results—Select Yes from the drop-down list, if you want the searches performed in Microsite pages to include Community threads.
